Power Rack

Starting at $1,995.00
If you're stepping up to a modern MacPherson strut front suspension, there's no sense in keeping the original Mustang steering system, which is full of lost motion. That's why Ford switched to rack-and-pinion for the Mustang in 1974. Gateway Performance Suspension's power rack-and-pinion is designed to bolt up to the stock mounting locations with no cutting or welding or removal of the lower crossmember. While the $1,995 rack will work with a stock power steering pump, GPS recommends stepping up to their race-inspired KRC pump system, which performs better and quieter than vintage-style pumps.GPS also offers hose kits for installing either the KRC or factory pump.
